  • The Future Food Factory Expo 2020, which is taking place on September 10th at the Citywest Exhibition Centre, Dublin, will showcase the latest trends, innovations, best practice and new technological solutions, in areas such as Industry 4.0, M2M, MES, ICS and IIoT, which are driving change within the Irish and global food manufacturing sectors.

The central aim of the event is to help food manufacturers to adopt the smart factory technologies and techniques required to improve productivity and efficiency, ensure full traceability and reduce wastage, while taking advantage of new market opportunities in response to evolving consumer demands.

Because of the amounts of data collected from existing equipment, most food factories have already started the journey towards smart manufacturing. The secret is to convert this data into useful information that can assist in making better business decisions.

The Future Food Factory Expo has been designed to provide answers and show how digitisation is possible within existing plants in order to reap many of the benefits of Industry 4.0 without the need to install new equipment.

Sustainability will be at the heart of any future food factory. However, the definition of sustainability is rapidly evolving to encompass the entire product lifecycle – from raw materials sourcing to processing, to delivery to the retailer and the ultimate consumer, and finally to disposal/recycling.

The Future Food Factory Expo will highlight how the power of data and technology can be harnessed to achieve more transparent supply chains. The event will also address areas such as optimising water usage, renewable energy, sustainable packaging and waste minimisation, and moving towards a circular economy.

Ireland’s premier trade event for the food and drink processing, packaging, ingredients and logistics industries. This event is a one day one-stop shop for manufacturing professionals across the full industry spectrum.
